Few if any websites can thrive without a few appropriate graphics and photographs. When you design and refine your site, you will probably need at least several images. This sounds easy, but it can become difficult. Here's why.

1. Clarity is crucial. Your graphics should never contradict the text on your site. Sending a muddled or mixed message will rarely benefit you.

2. You need to make sure that your images can be understood and appreciated by your audience. If your audience expects certain types of pictures, then give them what they like. On the other hand, if your audience is more interested in a fast-loading site, then make sure your site will not disturb their internet-browsing experience.
