PR and SEO - #1 - Keywords #192
Choose keyword phrases that work with the product or service you are promoting and that are the same terms as people's keywords and key-phrases. Also choose the terms which generate the most traffic for your press release. You could also consider rewriting releases based on the different search terms and submitting them to the search engines. Make sure to place the keywords or keyword phrases into the headline as well as the body of the release.

Creating Media Publicity #191
Generating publicity through the media can be near impossible. Here are a few proven methods to get some attention for your cause...
1) Make a donation to a worthy cause - i.e. scholarship to a local high school or community college. 2) Relate your product or service to a local or national news story, telling how your product or service fits in with it. 3) Think seasonally: there are always seasonal fluctuations in business - Find out what yours are and capitalize on what people are doing at different times of the year.

Responding to Negative News about One's Products, part two #486
A second question to ask when negative news appears about the products created by one's company: how long will it take to respond to problem reports and customers' complaints? If the product may cause physical harm, one should strive to act as soon as possible. Do not hide product recalls. Be prepared to create a new product that addresses the flaws of the old product.
However, even if there is no danger, and the product is simply low quality, be prepared to address customers' concerns and apologize if necessary. Correct any factual errors and any copyright violations. Avoid excuses such as "the market only allows for a modest level of quality."

PR and SEO #2 - Don't use proper names or pronouns #193
When writing press releases for submission to the search engines, instead of using the actual name of your product or service, use words that describe it, as this will help in the overall optimization of your release. Also, eliminate pronouns and use keyword phrases instead. Remember, the more words that you include which people search for, the better chance you have of getting listed higher on search engines.
